Every year, SACC Texas welcomes ambitious Swedish professionals to embark on a transformative six-month journey in one of America’s most dynamic business environments. Through the SACC-USA J-1 Visa Talent Mobility Program, our interns and trainees gain hands-on experience in international business development, event management, marketing, and professional networking — all while living and working in Texas.

Since 2006, more than 1,000 individuals have participated in SACC programs across the United States. As a SACC Texas intern, you don’t just observe — you contribute. You will work alongside industry leaders, build a transatlantic professional network, and develop skills that give you a lasting competitive edge in the global job market.

The J-1 Visa program

SACC-USA is a designated J-1 visa sponsor of the U.S. Department of State’s Exchange Visitor Program, which promotes educational and cultural exchange between the United States and other countries. The J-1 trainee visa allows qualified Swedish professionals to undertake structured, work-based training in the United States for up to 18 months.

As a SACC Texas intern, your visa sponsorship, onboarding, and program structure are handled through the SACC-USA network — giving you a seamless path from Sweden to Texas. The program is designed to develop your professional skills while immersing you in American business culture and practices.

  • Program duration: 6 months (extendable up to 12 months)
  • Visa type: J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa, sponsored by SACC-USA
  • Eligibility: Swedish or Finnish citizens with a completed or ongoing university degree
  • Age requirement: Minimum 21 years old
  • No social security or Medicare taxes for J-1 participants
  • Full support with visa processing, housing guidance, and onboarding

Who Can Apply

Swedish or Finnish citizens with a bachelor’s or master’s degree (completed or in progress) and a genuine interest in gaining U.S. business experience. Strong English skills required.

Visa & Arrival

Once selected, SACC-USA sponsors your J-1 visa and guides you through the DS-7002 training plan, SEVIS registration, and embassy interview. Then — welcome to Texas.
