Dear SACC -Dallas and Texas friends,
I hope you all have had a great fall so far, and that you were not hit by the powerful tornado that

This fall has been full of events. But we have also worked on projects that aim to facilitate for entrepreneurs who are seeking partners and venture capital here in Texas. One such project is the SACC Dallas Entrepreneur Program, specifically aimed at Startups and Small Business Owners. As a member of SACC Texas, you can receive help with everything from workspace and business services to legal services, HR, PR and marketing. We can help you find the right contacts for your business. We will get back more about this initiative within short.
Another initiative to promote entrepreneurship in Texas is Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). November 15-22. Also don’t miss our board member Charlotte Danielsson, who is giving a lecture on November 22 on the topic: Never Too Early to Think Global: What DFW Startups can Learn from Nordic Startups about Scaling Globally
Last week I attended the SACC-USA Network that held the 8th annual SACC Summit at House of Sweden in Washington, D.C. Here, all 20 Regional Chambers came together to gain new insights into Swedish-American business, This year’s theme was Disruption – The New Normal and delivered great insights on how to navigate in the new economic and political landscape that we are facing. Read more about the event here.
I also would like to welcome Patrik Löwenborg as a new board member at SACC Dallas. Patrik has a long experience from the telecom business and has been living In Dallas for many years. A warm welcome to Patrik, who I look forward to work with in the board. Read more about Patrik here.
Once again, a big thank you to all members, board members and sponsors for all your support throughout 2019. Without you all, we would not be able to arrange all kinds of events, start entrepreneur program, send out newsletter like this, and arrange our annual Julbord. With that said, I hope to see as many of you possible on December 15, for a traditional and joyful Swedish Julbord full of songs, laughter and friends.
Warm regards from Dallas,
Patrik Melander, Chairman SACC Dallas – Fort Worth
