Dear SACC Texas friends!
A strange and eventful year is going to an end as I am writing the Editorial for the 10th and the last SACC Texas Newsletter of 2020. Covid-19 has truly affected SACC Texas in so many ways and has forced us to take our important events to the digital world. It has not been an easy one, this year. But we stand strong. And given the circumstances I must say that we have prevailed and done it very well. Thanks to so many. Therefore, I would like to express my biggest gratitude and a big thank you to all of you who has made this possible. This goes for all of you who has been arranging and attending any of our events and working behind the scenes. It means the world to us here at SACC Texas. The other week, for instance, SACC Dallas delivered a fantastic curb side and digital Julbord, appreciated by so many. A true success with outstanding food and digital ambience. This only proves that we can accomplish so much, just by putting creativity, a curious mind and hard work together and just do it.
Hopefully 2021 will give us an opportunity to slowly open up for physical events, how and when remains to be seen. But I am optimistic. All I can say now is that the first quarter of 2021 will be digital and that we have a lot of interesting events coming up. If you find the time, please help us to raise the numbers on these events by logging in and attend.
Starting already in January 2021 we will also make a new SACC USA Business Survey, sending out a new survey in early January, to be presented later that month. Texas had the highest numbers of respondents of all SACC’s on the previous one in September, and I would love to see that happen again. Please take part, I guarantee you that there will be relevant and interesting questions to answer this time too.
Since the year is coming to an end, I also would like to thank all paying members and corporate members for 2020. Your contribution means a great deal to us, helping us promoting Sweden in the great state of Texas.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and good health!
Warm regards from Houston,
Hans Cederlund, Chairman SACC Texas
