SACC Texas member Eleiko recognized as fast growing Swedish company

SACC Austin member Swedish fitness equipment manufacturer Eleiko has been awarded the SACC USA Business Award by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) at a ceremony in the House of Sweden in Washington, D.C.

For the second time, the award was presented to a fast-growing Swedish company in the U.S. market, and this marks the first occasion that a Swedish company based in Texas has won the prize. The award includes a statue from Orrefors Kosta Boda, a speaking slot at the SACC USA Executive Forum, and a one-year membership with SACC USA.

The award was initiated by SACC Houston’s Chair, André Persson, who also serves as the head of the jury.

“There are over 2,000 Swedish companies operating in the U.S.—the world’s toughest and arguably most important export market. We felt it was time to highlight these Swedish entrepreneurs and the work they’re doing for Sweden, serving as role models for other Swedish companies,” he says, adding:

“Eleiko stood out in this year’s competitive field and was a deserving winner, showing strong growth numbers while maintaining profitability.”

Dagens Industri’s editor-in-chief, Peter Fellman, who is also on the jury, presented the award and interviewed Eleiko USA’s CEO, Magnus Nyberg. Read the article in Dagens Industri here (in Swedish, behind a paywall).
