SACC Texas is Hiring Interns For 2025 - 26

SACC Texas is looking for motivated individuals who are willing to make a difference in the organization and learn professional skills. Interns can expect to commit around 20 hours a month to work. Ideally, we ask that interns sign on for a year. Interns will go through brief on boarding in the spring 2025, will be off for the summer (mid-June to mid August) and officially start internship work mid August 2025. SACC Texas interns are eligible for college credit if the work fulfills the school’s requirements.

Business & Marketing Intern

As the Business & Marketing Intern, you will act as a liaison for SACC-Texas and will work alongside the SACC Treasurer and the SACC Executive Board to perform all administrative duties. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently under supervision and manage various projects simultaneously. Service-mindedness is as crucial to us as your professional skills.

Location: Austin, Texas or Remote (must be able to adhere to the CST, but the position is open to those in the U.S. and abroad)

Part Time (20-25 hours/month), *hours may not be evenly distributed to a weekly basis*

Compensation: Unpaid

Internship Period: August 2025-Jan 2026

Intern Responsibilities: 

  • Manage our social media accounts, edit communication material, such as our monthly newsletter, conduct interviews, and other content. 
  • Assist in organizing and planning events. 
  • Support the chamber and it’s members in marketing activities. 
  • Business/finance related tasks such as bookkeeping and invoicing. 
  • Work closely with the executive director and the rest of the teem to plan seminars, company visits, and arrange high ranking official delegation visits, etc. 
  • Handle routine administrative tasks. 
  • Actively engage in communication initiatives and member services and oversee the day-to-day operations of the SACC-Texas office. 

Intern Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study. 
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes). 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English. 
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently. 
  • Knowledge of graphic design (Indesign, photoshop, or similar) is a plus. 
  • Preferably, previous experience in organizing events. 
  • Software skills, including MS Office, Photoshop and social media experience.

Business & Event intern

As the Business & Event Intern, you will act as a liaison for SACC Texas and assist in creating a variety of promotional material for events, monthly newsletters, and maintaining an online presence via sacctx.com and the Chamber’s various social media accounts.

Location: Austin, Texas or Remote (must be able to adhere to the CST, but the position is open to those in the U.S. and abroad)

Part Time (20-25 hours/month) *hours may not be evenly distributed to a weekly basis*

Compensation: Unpaid

Internship Period: August 2025-Jan 2026

Intern Responsibilities: 

  • Act as editor for the SACC Texas’ bi-monthly newsletter. 
  • Maintain and update SACC Texas’ website, www.sacctx.com
  • Support the SACC Texas chapters (Houston, Dallas, and Austin) with creating promotional materials for events, Social Media channels, and email marketing. 
  • Attend monthly Board Meetings to ensure understanding and support for the
    Organization.
  • Attending Chamber-specific networking events (if on-site)

Intern Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study. 
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes). 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English. 
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently. 
  • Knowledge of graphic design (Indesign, photoshop, or similar) is a plus.

Marketing & Event intern

As the Marketing & Event Intern, you will act as a liaison for SACC-Texas and assist in planning, organizing, and executing events for the Chamber.

Location: Austin, Texas (must be able to adhere to the CST, but the position is open to those in the U.S. and abroad)

  • Plan, organize, and execute Chamber events
  • Work with SACC Texas Board to collaborate with vendors and venues
  • Attend SACC TX monthly Board meetings to ensure understanding and support for the organization.
  • Promote events across social media channels, the events calendar, and email marketing.

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study. 
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes). 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
