We are delighted to introduce one of our esteemed member companies, Eleiko, and extend our congratulations on their new Five-year U.S. Navy Education contract.
Who is Eleiko?
Eleiko is a Swedish company renowned for its high-quality strength equipment. Founded in 1927, the company initially specialized in manufacturing waffle irons. However, in 1957, they pivoted to revolutionize the barbell industry after recognizing the need for more durable equipme
nt. Using specially formulated Swedish steel and a knurling pattern inspired by their waffle irons, Eleiko created a barbell that set a new standard in 1963. Since then, Eleiko has remained dedicated to supporting lifters at every level – from competition stages and training facilities to health clubs and home gyms.
With a clear vision to create a stronger world, Eleiko continuously strives to provide athletes, coaches, and fitness enthusiasts with the highest-quality strength training equipment. Their mission is to enhance human performance through innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability, ensuring that people can train smarter, lift stronger, and live healthier lives. At the heart of Eleiko’s purpose lies a passion for strength sports and a dedication to engineering excellence, allowing athletes of all levels to reach their full potential with equipment built to last a lifetime.
Over the years, Eleiko has achieved remarkable milestones. In 1963, their barbell made its debut at the World Weightlifting Championships and quickly became the global standard. In recent decades, the company has expanded its product lines to serve not only professional athletes but also commercial gyms, home training enthusiasts, and military personnel. Eleiko’s latest accomplishment in securing a five-year contract with the U.S. Navy highlights its continued commitment to high-performance trainin

Furthermore, the company has been certified by International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and World Para Powerlifting Organization (WPPO), as well as equipping the most prestigious competitions and training facilities around the world. Additionally, Eleiko has been praised for its sustainability efforts in manufacturing and material sourcing, reinforcing its leadership in the industry.
Currently, Eleiko also has a total of 4 contracts with the United States Military and Federal markets, including the U.S. Navy IDIQ, U.S. Navy NOFFS IDIQ (the education contract for the “Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling System”), U.S. Army IDIQ, and GSA (a Federal Supply Schedule for the U.S. General Services Administration).
