Mechanical engineer student Karl Sralla is a new board member for SACC Dallas. As such he wishes to use his experience at university and as a CEO of his newly founded company, to enable and help create a platform that allows young and experienced business owners and entrepreneurs to network and expedite a marketplace for business to take place.
How would you describe yourself?
My name is Karl Sralla, and I am a son of a Swedish immigrant mother and an American father. I study as a mechanical engineer and the university of North Texas, where I also compete as scholarship discus thrower for the university track team. During the pandemic I have created my own company KAS Nation, LLC that has ventures in the medical industry and looking into possible IoT sales.
How would you like to contribute to SACC Texas?
As a board member at the Swedish chamber, I would like to use my experience at university and as a CEO of my company to enable and help create a platform that allows young and experienced business owners and entrepreneurs to network and expedite a marketplace for business to take place. Giving people the right place to connect and build their business is very important to me, and I myself wouldn’t be where I am without the help of the professional board that has mentored me and my business.
In these times of pandemic, how will you spend your Christmas?
Before I finish up my final semester in college, I will be taking some time to enjoy my close family. For Christmas my family will be traveling by car to Colorado to enjoy a cabin Christmas with some skiing. It will not be a typical Christmas with extended family due to the pandemic but nonetheless I am grateful for my family and looking forward to spending time with my brother and sister. Before my brother returns to Stockholm to finish his studies at the Stockholm School of Economics and my sister starts her competitive track season as an elite discus thrower.
